If anyone's wondering...

the blog post to Mrs. "I've gone private" is a joke...(if you don't know me well enough I can be pretty sarcastic sometimes)I hold no animosity towards her. I'm just irritated all the sudden she's gone with no explanation. I was just venting...

Dear Mrs. "I've gone private,"

I know their are wacko people in this world who choose to do wacko things, however I'm not one of them. I might have been a blog stocker on your blog but I swear it never went any further. I was delighted to find your blog and see your perfect little life. I know we only met once many, many years ago and although I didn't want to get to know you any better, nothing personal it just would have made for some awkward conversations, I found reading your blog very enticing. Yet the time of me knowing about your precious children and I quote...your "perfect husband" (really? perfect? come-on a little honesty please) seems to come to an end. Not because of anything I have done but because of your choice to go private. I've laid in bed tossing around the idea of contacting you asking for a peek into the continuing saga but I refuse to humble myself and risk my pride by doing so. For then I would have to admit that a small part of me is still interested in the past. I must continue to live by my own advice...leave the past in the past. So ode to you Ms. Private. I hope you enjoy a long and happy life with your "perfect" husband and little precious children. I'm sad not to be apart of it any longer. I will miss it. Congratulations on everything you've accomplished and I have to admit you have some cool hair and a smokin' bod. Congrats and I hope reality never hits. Since you went private a few weeks ago my life hasn't been the same. NOT! No, really though, I will miss it but for my own self esteem it's probably for the best. May we never run into each other again. God bless and good luck.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Not private

This might not be politically correct but...

I know there are many, many women who long to have a child to call their own so I always try to remember that before complaining about pregnancy or the hardships of raising kids. With that being said and trying to look on the bright side of life this was one of those days where I couldn't be more thankful to have a nice space between my kids. I didn't plan it this way but the Lord defiantly knows best and knows when it's the right time to send another baby. I'm sooooooooooo thankful they aren't any closer. I'm able to learn their personalities, likes and dislikes and ways to enforce obedience prior to the next child coming along. Don't get me wrong my kids are far from perfect and I know this is probably a sensitive subject to some who don't mind having kids close together and I'm not saying one way is better than the other I've just learned for me and our circumstances with running a few different business and my part in those I now know the Lord had a hand in the timing of our kids. (sorry that was a really long sentence) Anyhow, another testimony builder that shows to me the Lord is in charge and knows me better than I know myself. I know everyone has their own struggles in life and I thank my Heavenly Father for the opportunity to be a mother as I know not every woman has that opportunity in this life. I do believe though that when that day comes, whether in this life or the life to come, it will be an unbelievable sweet moment that words can't describe. I am thankful for those few women I've met who are passed their child bearing years and weren't blessed with a child, yet treat the children they know as their own and who don't dwell on the fact of what they don't have but who are the best examples of finding joy in their difficult journey. Never complaining but always counting blessings. For that is not always easy to do.

On another note...tonight #1 said the prayer during family prayer...we're trying to teach him to think about what he's saying and not say the same things each time he prays. So tonight he said "I'm thankful for having a president of the United States" I thought some wrong thoughts after hearing that statement then I thought to myself no matter whose in charge of our country and what their political views are I couldn't be more thankful to live in this country. I want to take a firm stand to make sure the foundations that this country was built on are always solid and that no man or woman or any group cracks them. I want to attend law school...not now, but someday.

I think it's been a LONG day and I'm choosing to count the blessings instead of venting. Luckily my husband gets to hear me vent about the day and the boys behavior rather than my two blog readers. :) Right Ms. Anonymous? (you know who you are)

Last night...

I read a couple of talks from the priesthood session of general conference. Soon enough I'll have three boys who, I pray, will be good examples of worthy priesthood holders. I pray they will teach generations to come the importance of this great and aspiring calling of priesthood holders. I feel like I have a lot of work to do ahead of me but I know the blessing will be of indescribable worth. I better get off this computer and go to work!
There's just something about a fresh new haircut that makes me feel happy. Thanks Karen.
Now if I could only style my hair as she does...that would be cool.

I finally figured it out!

A real blog...not sure if I'm totally crazy about the background but it did scream summer so I put it up. It was easy and I didn't loose old posts. Ok, now I've spent way to much time on this computer and I must get the kitchen clean before an early morning presidency meeting tomorrow. BTW if anyone ever has great idea's for Young Women activities feel free to spend them my way. Thanks.

Ahhhh...my favorites...

one of my favorite places

Favorite people, just missing Brandon. He was the photographer.

Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Once again...I feel like I want to share so much but then again for some reason there is apart of me that wants to be private and not share all my feelings...Hopefully I'll find a good balance. I've read many great uplifting blogs lately and I really enjoy it. I've also read blogs that I'm convinced either the writer is living in their own unrealistic fairytale, afraid for some reason to share the "real" moments in life or simply living on crack and not sharing. :)

Anyhow, life seems to be crazier than ever and I am pretty sure I'm more excited for school to be out than Buster is. I don't know if he gets what summer break is, I sure do though and I can't wait. I also can't believe this year is over and it's amazing what he's learned especially how well he reads. I am so grateful for his school and his teacher. It's a great organization.

Bosty has such a fun personality. I truly enjoy him and we really do have fun together. I've enjoyed him being the only child at home the last few months, we've really had an opportunity to bond together that we didn't have before. He constantly cracks me up...believe me though he is far from a perfect child actually "little hellion" might be a more appropriate term for him. Nonetheless he is really fun.

Once again bring on the summer!!! I love summer time it seems to scream: pool time, lemonade, vacations, beach, sleeping in, sweaty hikes, friends over, no-bake cookies, laziness, family and friends over, camping, sunshine and best of all getting tan. Not to mention how hot my bod looks in a maternity swim suit!
(that was a joke if you're wondering...I'm not blind and that is why we have a splash pad out back...so no one has to see me pregnant and in a swimsuit)

Thank you sooooo much to all the wonderful friends and family who send real estate referrals Brandon's way! We wouldn't have a functioning business without you! He strictly works from referrals and is keeping busy, busy, busy. What a blessing it is in this economy. We have food on the table, a roof over our head and good health. Can't ask for much more.

Oh gross, a bug just crawled on my foot...time to sweep the floor I guess. Goodnight.

Where is my stinkin camera?

Today we enjoyed #1'a field day at school...I would love to post pics but I can't seem to find my camera again. How annoying. I know it's around here somewhere. #2 and I had a lot of fun watching him compete and I think we all sweat off about 5 pounds...ok maybe not but it sure felt like it. I was impressed with all the activities, I thought the P.E. teacher did a great job organizing it!

I echo Brandon's words today...

"I love it when real estate deals resurrect!"

Today was truly a miracle that this deal closed...might be a small miracle to some but a huge miracle to us, an answer to our prayers. Today I learned once again to never give up! To bad mutual is tonight or we'd be out celebrating!

The joy of being the only female in the hosue...

It's that time of year again...the father and son's yearly camp out, which in this household equals NO BODY except me! They even left a day early this year! It was a good weekend...now I just need to take a nap due to the lack of sleep before they get home! Another benefit to being the only female in the family.
