Now the waiting game...

The house is spot-less, again. The laundry is all caught up, folded and put away. The van is clean inside and out. The grocery shopping is done. The bills are paid. The mail is sorted and put away. The camera is charged. The floor is mopped. The playroom is all picked up. The bathroom garbage's are empty. The closet mirrors are free of hand prints. The carpet is proudly displaying it's vacuum marks. The calling is taken care of. The bag is packed.

I had high hopes I would have met my little guy by now. No such luck. It's like being six years old again waiting for Christmas morning but not exactly sure which morning it is. Tomorrow is the official due date. Maybe a miracle will happen tomorrow? If not, I will continue to enjoy the feeling of this little spirit moving around inside me...for that is a feeling I never want to forget. He's moving as I write!

I can't wait til this piece of heaven enters our home. I think his brothers are getting antsy too.

Gotta right this down before I forget...

So yesterday the boys were wrestling on the my bed (shocker) and I hear #2 start to cry...shocker again. Anyhow right before I'm about to walk into the bedroom to see what the problem is I pause outside the door and listen to the conversation that is taking place between #1 & #2. It went like this...

#2 "Ouch, I really got hurt on my foot and my piggies" (aka toes)
#1 "I'm sorry little buddy"
#2 "Make it stop hurting"
#1 "I can say a prayer for you then Heavenly Father can make it stop hurting"
#2 "Ok, say a prayer right now"
#1 In a sweet prayer voice "Heavenly Father, thank you for this day, thank you for my brother. He got hurt on his foot, please make it stop hurting and help him to know I love him."
#2 "It doesn't hurt anymore. Wanna wrestle again?"

It was sweet to listen to them solve the problem. I especially liked the way the solved it...going to Heavenly Father first not me.

Now if only I could remember to go to Heavenly Father first maybe my problems would be solved that fast.

Ohhh what a night

Tuesday evenings always seem to be the evenings from you know where...I think someone is always trying to stop me from getting to mutual on time and in a good mood.

It all started when #2 was whining and complaining about being hungry...I was just about to start dinner when boom, he pulls off the front panel to one of the kitchen drawers in the island and falls back so hard hitting the back of his head on the tile which caused blood to come out of his nose. Not good. I hold and rock him, get him called down and watch him to make sure everything is all right.

Then about 20 mins later the door bell rings and the boys run to answer it. A kind looking gentleman is there asking for spouse. I let him know spouse is not home to which he responds, "are you his wife?" Right after I said "yes" I knew I made a mistake. He then proceeds to pull some papers from behind his back and serves me with a photo radar ticket for spouse. That's when I felt like knocking him up the side of the head. Then I remembered it's not his fault spouse was speeding, he's just here doing his job. I am still irritated to have an extra bill to pay especially right now when anything extra is going towards paying for the baby.

Then the phone starts ringing...rides are needed to mutual. I still needed to finish dinner for the family, drop off the little one I was watching, and get to the church all in about a 10 minute period.

Then spouse calls and says he won't be home on time and I have to take the boys with me to mutual until he gets there. Gurrrr

I left the kitchen a complete wreck, headed out and was about 1/2 way to the church and realized #2 didn't have a shirt on...just shorts and slippers. I didn't even bother to turn around. He's a boy...boys can get away with not wearing shirts right?

It ended up being ok as spouse got to the church about the same time we did and was able to bring the boys back home without anyone seeing my half naked child. All-in-all I felt very tired before walking into the church. Then I remembered it was personal progress night...the best night of the month, I have nothing to take care of and a great personal progress person that handles everything so well on her nights. It all ended up being ok but now I must get to bed as the craziness will start all over again tomorrow!

Quick update

I have very high hopes in getting this blog updated soon...and with pictures.

But in the meantime here's a quick recap of life over the past month--

*baby is due in 10 days...still taking suggestions on names
* visited my first local (Peoria) farmers market today with the boys. It was nice, pretty small but very family friendly and the boys had a good time.
*wondering how I can raise a teenager when a tired six year old is hard enough
*finished setting up the crib, changing table and everything is washed and put away for the baby
*cleaned the carpets and washed the windows all in the same week. Chores that are very rarely done
*#2 started joy school and loves it. I love it too when it's not my turn to teach (Just kidding...the group is really good and they all get along very well. So far it's worked out great)
*Was very surprised when I knocked on a friends door late one night and then heard the words "Surprise" being yelled...some really great ladies threw a very surprising and fun baby shower for me. I really had no idea but enjoyed all the wonderful things I was able to bring home.
*Detailed the van for the first time in three years. Even pulled out all the seats and now it's clean as new...wondering how long that will last.
*Took apart the car seats and washed them down and washed all the padding.
*Began walking on the treadmill again. Now sore body parts.
*Worked on different projects for Young Women's...hoping it's easy on my counselors when I am away with the new baby
*Tried to take the boys to the Youth Conference tonight (Spouse & I both needed to be there due to our callings) that was a joke, the boys were out of control. We came home early, had cereal for dinner, and had a early bedtime. Hopefully spouse will be home soon.
*Been having weekly doctor appointments.
*Found a simple Halloween costume for the baby for only $2...gotta love 2nd hand stuff. *Searching for a Darth Maul Costume for #1, any suggestions? #2 still isn't sure what he wants to be.
*Anxiously awaiting for Ms. Anonymous to deliver her baby...any day now.
*Replaced the lost camera with a new one. Hallelujah
*Visited Hall of Flame for the first time with child #2 and enjoyed it.
*Really enjoyed the sacrament talks last Sunday. Totally got something out of them. One of which was given by spouse so I might be biased but it touched me.
*Being thankful for my many blessing and trials. As there are many trials I wouldn't wish for. Many blessings have been received.

That's all for now.
