Decisions, decisions...
Painting is now complete. My goal was to finish by 10pm and I beat my time by 5 minutes. I'm starting to really like it.
Boss started preschool today, and being the wonderful mother that I am I didn't take any pictures. Hopefully tomorrow I'll remember the camera. He seemed to have a lot of fun and enjoy himself.
Looks like the menfolk made cookies while I was away at a meeting tonight. The only trace of evidence I can find is a dirty pan. WHERE ARE THE LEFTOVERS AND WHY IS IT NOT CLEANED UP???
OK, I must be tired if that is bothering me so much.

Three nights of going to bed around midnight and waking up at 5am and then waking up to feed Crate between the 5 hours of sleep is not a good combo. It's 8pm and I can barely function.
Left-overs for dinner and it was even better the second time.
The boys took naps today, I'm thinking I'll have to go to bed and leave them awake. Hopefully Pops will get home from his meeting soon. They shouldn't get into any trouble, hopefully.
Looking forward to Labor day tomorrow. Not sure what the plans are yet but I'm sure we can think of something.
Oh, and how could I forget...Crate took two steps yesterday! Holy cow, I don't think I'm ready for him to walk yet. Then he'd be a toddler I would no longer have a baby. It's amazing how fast the time goes by. Wish I could squeeze him into a bottle and keep him at this stage forever. He's so much fun and so sweet. The boys have been working with him all day to get him to walk. I've been trying to keep him crawling. I have a feeling I'm gonna loose this battle all to soon.

Early morning exercise. Went six miles with a friend, the workout was great and the company was even better.
Took the boys to watch Pops play basketball. That was fun.
Family date to Costco.
Delicious BBQ with friends. Good food and fun company.
Late night games.
Time for bed.
Painting didn't get done today...hopefully Monday and then Crate can move out of our room.
It was a successful Saturday spent with the fam. Good times, good times. Oh, and Boss even took a nap which made the late night bearable.

Tonight is our family movie night. The boys are wanting to watch Star Wars...do I protest or just put on a happy face and go with it?
Can it seriously be 111 degrees on September 3rd? That just seems wrong.
Boss told me today he was going to marry me when he gets older. But he did make it clear he will marry me but he will NEVER kiss his wife. Somehow I think that will change all to soon.
Looking forward to the long Labor day weekend.

OK first off this is for you "A".:
The Master Bread Recipe
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Place in a Bosch Mixer (I've used my kitchen aid to make this but the Bosch defiantly does a ton better)
5 Cups of warm water
1/2 Cup of oil
1/2 cup of Honey
1 Heaping Tablespoon salt
3 Tablespoons Yeast
1 heaping Tablespoon dough enhancer (I typically don't add this and I haven't noticed a difference)
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
10 Cups ground wheat flour (I most always grind my wheat right before but I have used store bought flour a time or two)
A couple of additional cups of flour
Turn on Bosch, knead on speed 1 and quickly add as much additional flour as you need for dough to pull away from side of the bowl. It should only pull initially half way up the side of the bowl, and during the 5 minutes of mixing it will completely pull away. Add back in 2-4 tablespoons of water (more if needed) to keep your dough soft. Oil you hands and counter top well. Divide dough into 5 loaves (for regular size loaves) shape into a bread loaf and let rise in loaf pans, sprayed with a non-stick spray. Let rise for about 30 minutes in well-oiled pans or until they have doubled in size. Turn over down to 350 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes depending on you oven.
This is a very basic and almost fool proof recipe. Easy and quick. I realized as I went to make this that I loaned several of my bread pans out to somebody so I only had seven pans to make bread with. However they are the very long pans for larger loaves. I made all seven and they should last my family about 6 weeks. I do freeze them and have kept them frozen for up to four or five months and they are fine.

Buster got his midterm report today. His overall score is a 97.9%. Not to shabby. I think that equals an A+.
Pops got invited to the Cardinals game tonight. He seemed pretty happy to go. I hope he's having fun!
Crate loves me so much that during the night he's willing to wake up and see me multiple times. I'm blessed to have a healthy baby that I can take care of day or night, I know he wont always be wanting/needing me. I must cherish it now even if it is at 1am and 3am and 4am.
Tonight I found a note on my pillow with three dollars in it. The note said "Mom, I love you. From your favorite child" When I asked Buster what this was all about he told me: "Thank you for all the food you bought yesterday and for buying us a treat, I gave you the money to help pay for the food."
Then I remembered our conversation in the grocery store yesterday. He asked me how much I thought all the groceries would cost and I told him about 100 dollars. He was amazed it would cost that much so obviously he had been thinking a lot about it today. He's so sweet but I hope he doesn't start worrying about family finances already. He's a little to young for that kind of stress...and so am I.

Several things got crossed off the list from yesterday.
*Tires are rotated. Thank goodness for a McDonald's with a play land across the parking lot. It made the waiting much more bearable for the young-lings. And I think that should be the mans job. However, I say that every time I go.
*Bed got made
*Grocery shopping is done and I saved $95...not to shabby. However, remind me to never go again with three young-lings at 3:30 in the afternoon when everyone is hungry and tired and to top it off the grocery store offers 10% off for anyone who is a "senior citizen." Needless to say there were A LOT of older (read: SLOWER) people in the store and I don't think they appreciated children. However given the circumstances my boys were really well behaved and they even eared themselves a donut. A long one with chocolate and sprinkles. I refrained.
*Boss got to meet his new teacher for preschool tonight. He was really excited. I was thankful to have a babysitter come, I tried to make it a special event for Boss. I'm hoping he'll do well and be obedient. Just in the last two months he has seemed to mature a lot and it's really, really fun to hang out with him.
*Pops got home just in time for mutual. I appreciated that. He even bathed Crate and Boss, read scriptures with the boys, put them to bed and emptied the dishwasher before heading out for basketball. He's a hard worker
*I'm hoping to knock out 15+ loaves of homemade bread tomorrow. I have to grind wheat again and for some reason I hate that part. Probably because I feel like I end up having flour dust all over the kitchen. Boss is excited to help me, my boys love homemade bread. Let's face it...so do I.
*Fry's has their all natural sour cream on sale of $1. It's really good stuff and no added ingredients. It's nice to see so many brands of food coming out with "natural" versions. Heinz has a great natural ketchup now. No added crap.
*Is crap a swear word? Personally, I don't think so. Maybe a crude word but not a swear word.
*Crate ate a bowl of beans for dinner last night and I paid for it each time I changed his diaper today. Tonight, he ate another bowl of beans, this time a different kind of bean. I wonder what treasures tomorrow holds in store? Actually, living with four males...I paid for it all day today.
*Today I thought a lot about a verse from one of my favorite hymns. "Who am I to judge another when I walk imperfectly? In the quiet heart is hidden, sorrow that the eye can't see. Who am I to judge another? Lord I would follow thee."
Think about that.
