Laundry today...four loads washed folded and put away. Three bathrooms cleaned. Clean kitchen and semi-clean floors, are they ever totally clean? I'm afraid not. Good family home evening lesson on how our bodies are temples, the boys seemed to really grasp on to it. Pops taught it tonight and did a great job. Buster's reading was SO good tonight. He's really making progress. Awesome workout today. I took an energy drink prior to the workout and it made such a difference, I lifted more weight than before and didn't get fatigued at all the entire time. However right after I drank the bottle I read "do not take while nursing or pregnant" Dope. I drank tons of water to try to flush it out over the next few hours and tried to hold Crate off as long as possible. It didn't seem to affect him at all...he ended up sleeping most the day!

I've been having dizzy spells off and on lately...it's starting to get really annoying. Not to mention when I get super dizzy it makes me feel nauseous. Hopefully they'll go away soon.

Now I must take care of the calendar for YW's this year.

Pics from our family outing to Flagstaff Jan 2 2010
It started off with snowball fight amongst the boys...
Pops and Crate just hanging out

Down and up, down and up, down and up...
They had so much fun...So did we...

We'll defiantly be doing that again!
I think my lesson went well today. We had 100% attendance...all the girls on the roster were there. That would be awesome if we kept those stats every Sunday. Brando had to attend another wards meetings during church today so it was just the boys and I. REALLY...we're going to work on whispering again during family home evening tomorrow. The boys were busy during the first half of sacrament meeting then they finally seemed to calm down. I would've made it through the entire meeting had Boss not needed to go out to go to the bathroom. Luckily Crate fell asleep and slept until the third hour when I heard him crying out in the hall while a friend had him but I was teaching so I couldn't do anything about it. Poor Crate...poor friend. I got a nap today. Bliss. We ALL laid down and everyone including me feel asleep except the baby...I pretended to sleep through it and then Brando got up and took him out so I could continue to sleep. I thought I would sleep for 15 more minutes but I slept for another hour. Thanks spouse! I think I'll pretend to not hear Crate more often. :) Especially at 4am! Luckily Brando doesn't read this blog so he won't find out my secret.

Another goal I have set this year is to read the Book of Mormon every day. Every. single. day. I have yet to miss a day and I'm really enjoying it. I think I will learn a lot over the year. I have set other goals to like working out six days a week, magnifying my calling and learning to really love and appreciate certain people. (And no I'm not mentioning names.) I think it's important to remind myself of these goals often so I don't loose track. I think the beginning of a new year is always so refreshing.

So last night we ended up going on a date. This is how it went...we got a quick bite to eat then Brando dropped me off at my store so I could take care of getting a few thing while he ran to a store he needed to go to then he picked me up and we headed back to Marmie's house to pick up the two boys, Crate stayed with us the whole time. I was grateful to go out but I told Brando next time he tells me we'll leave at five lets leave at five instead of seven. Oh well that's the way life goes. I'm just thankful he has work that is keeping him busy. It could be the opposite.

Today both Buster and Boss had birthday parties to go to. I showered washed and blow dried my hair...that's a miracle in itself. Brando over booked himself this morning with a soccer coaches meeting, showing houses and a quick service project all at the same time. So I took care of the service project for him while he did the other two things. Then after he was done showing houses the kids and I met him at Costco for grocery shopping. That place was packed. Once we were home Brando worked while I cleaned out the fridge, played with the boys and fell asleep while nursing the baby. That was a nice 20 minute power nap. The Christmas lights finally came off the house today. (I took all the Christmas decorations down the day after Christmas, I was glad for Christmas to be over this year, events didn't go as planned and I was happy to get the house free of the decorations). The boys rode bikes this afternoon, had baths and now are in dream land. I'm finishing up the lesson for YW's tomorrow and then will get the ironing done for church. The lesson for YW's is really good it's about spiritual gifts... One cool part of the lesson is:

“We believe in the gift of the Holy Ghost being enjoyed now, as much as it was in the Apostles’ days; … we also believe in prophecy, in tongues, in visions, and in revelations, in gifts, and in healings; and that these things cannot be enjoyed without the gift of the Holy Ghost” (History of the Church, 5:27).

President Marion G. Romney commented on this statement by the Prophet:

“Thus one who has never received the gift of the Holy Ghost cannot possibly work miracles by his power.

“Now, we know that there is but one way to obtain the gift of the Holy Ghost. That way is through the prescribed ordinances of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins and the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost”

Every member of the Church, having received the gift of the Holy Ghost, is entitled to receive certain spiritual gifts...It makes me wonder if I really know my gifts and if I'm using them to help build the kingdom here on earth.

I better get back to my lesson...

This is my post for today. I'm supposed to be on a date with Brando right now but I'm not. Oh well. I'll write later when I'm in a better mood. :)

Happy birthday to Crate-the-great!! Today he's three months old. I can't believe how time flies. Part of me feels like it was just a few days ago I was walking and walking and walking all around the hospital to keep the contractions coming and get him hear safe and sound and the other part of me feels like I don't remember what life was like before him, it feels like he's been apart of our family from the beginning. He's a really good baby and we are all enjoying him.

Mutual tonight I believe was a success. We had a brainstorming meeting with the girls and have some really great activities planned out for this year, I'm really excited to carry these out. I don't think the boys liked having to be quiet and entertain themselves...although they weren't that quiet but I'm sure they'll get used to it as long as it is here at home.

I had a killer yoga workout this morning. It was killer but again I'm glad I finished it.

When Buster got home from school today I asked him how his reading was and he replied "it was awesome" I could see the excitement in his face and it's like his confidence shot through the roof. I've been a real stickler on him reading anything and everything and reading on his own after school and I think it's really helping him to become more confident in himself. I really want to have him start reading the dictionary little by little each day so he learns a greater vocabulary and meaning of words. Then again...that would be probably be totally boring for him. OK maybe no dictionary

I ran out of diapers, wipes, bread and milk today...(I mean like totally ran out, none of those items were anywhere in the home...oh, wait I do have a ton of diapers from the diaper cake but they're still a little to big...I even sent Buster to school with a sandwich on one piece of bread which was the heel so he only had half a sandwich and I scrounged to find other items to throw in his lunch bag) so I braved Wal-mart with the kids this afternoon...not fun. The boys were actually totally fine, Boss even wanted to sit in the cart (that made it soooo easy) it's that particular Wal-mart for some reason it feels so ghetto to me and no one is friendly. Not to mention it was totally busy. Oh well I had to go. At least it's done.

Took care of phone calls, bills and laundry today and had the little guy over for babysitting. Read a ton to Boss and worked on letter identification with him along with writing and counting...he's getting pretty good and can count to almost 60 with little corrections. It'll be interesting when he starts school...hopefully he has a longer attention span for his teachers than he does for me.

Now I'm ready for bed.

Hard workout this morning...I'm always glad I finished it when it's over, I just don't look forward to getting out of bed at the crack of dawn. Spent sometime at the park today with friends, that was a really nice break from the normal daily stuff. Afterward Bossman road his bike and I ran and pushed the baby we went two miles before Boss really started complaining so we headed home. I finally read Nie's story that the Republic paper wrote about her. Simply remarkable. I had a presidency meeting last night, PTA meeting at 6pm tonight & auxiliary presidents meeting with the bishopric at 7:30pm and mutual tomorrow night. (I still have to find a babysitter for tonight as Brando's out and about also). It's chalking up to be a busy yet productive week. I hope my kids remember the time I've spent playing with them when they're older. They really are fun to hang out with. During the run Boss and I had a good talk about when he came from and how Jesus loves him. He does like to ask A LOT of questions and always asks why but that is how little guys learn things. Now it's off to pick up Buster and take them to the park again because I promised him yesterday we would go to this certain park today he saw while on our bike ride.
