Started off the day at the temple with a friend. That was a nice change of pace. Pops had the boys for five hours...I think he was glad to see me when I got home, I think Crate was happy also.
We started a new chapter in our lives today...no more guest room. We've always had an extra bedroom that has doubled as a guest room, but no more. That is now the boys room and Crate will be moving out of our room soon. Everyone seems to be pretty excited about the changes. And I was able to throw out a bunch of junk while moving all the furniture. I love throwing out junk, it's like therapy.
Speaking of therapy...well that's another topic for another time.

Miracles haven't ceased! Pops and I went out tonight to dinner and movie, the longest date we've had in 10 months. Thanks to Marmie for babysitting and thanks to gift cards for dinner and the movies it made for a great cheap date! We saw the movie "Salt" it was really intense. I even washed and blow-dried my hair for the occasion...I was impressed with my efforts.

I didn't want the day to start today. I had a lot to get done here around the house and I didn't want to do it. At last I pulled my lazy bones out of bed and got the day started. It didn't turn out as planned, I ended up having seven kids here at dinner time and they just left. I also left five kids here with a nine year old while I took Buster and Crate to meet the teacher...is that bad letting a nine year old babysit? I didn't think so either.
If I had three wishes tonight they would be
1. Wake up to a picked up house.
2. Wake up to a mopped floor.
3. Wake up to folded laundry.
I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow amongst other things.
I think I spoken with Pops a total of 13 minutes since Monday night and I think I've seen him a total of 17 minutes since Monday night. I'm ready to have some time with him. He's gone again tonight and won't be home till after I'm asleep, I'm hoping tomorrow he'll be home before 9:30pm. I'm glad this isn't permanent. I don't envy single mothers.
Crate seems to have gotten a second wind...this isn't good, cause I'm ready for bed.
The beauty in today was the smell of rain. Seriously, there is nothing like the smell of rain in the desert. I even got the chance to see the sun setting over the mountains with the purple sky in the background. A majestic beauty. I briefly thought about heaven and who was there. The sky looked peaceful and inviting. I'm thankful to have scene it from this earth. I'm not ready to leave.

Crate's getting smart. He's realizing it much easier to poop while standing up. It's funny to see him pull himself up along the couch and then grunt it out. And because he's eating more table food it smells much worse. That's a lovey thought huh.
Today we spent the day with cousins. First with Ash and Brayden at Jeepers...I think we're done with that place for a while. My kids are tired of the cheap entertainment there. Then we went with Binghams to Big Surf. That wasn't planned but I happened to have all our swim stuff in the car because we were going to go to Chandler pool after Jeepers. When the cousins called and invited us we didn't want to pass it up. Especially not for the deal...after 2pm it's only $10/person to get it. Not bad, considering the boys have been asking to go to a water park all summer long. They all had fun together and the place was EMPTY...no lines at all, which made it even better. I love learning about great deals around the valley. We brought a couple of cousins home with us to spend the night. Hopefully, everyone can get a good night's rest and be REALLY happy tomorrow! Hopefully I can be REALLY HAPPY tomorrow too. On the way home I learned that five kids in the car can get pretty LOUD.
Speaking of cars, I'm really thankful for our van. It was a great investment and I'm thankful that it always runs great and is dependable. It's a huge blessing to go out and know your vehicle is reliable.
I missed my workout today so I'm doing a double one tomorrow. Off to bed.

Posting each day sure is hard when my internet won't work. Last night I tried and tried to get the wireless to work but no such luck.
Yesterday was a great day spent with great friends. It was nice enjoying lunch together while the kids played. Not to mention we had an array of salads and they were all delicious.
I'm watching Pops help Buster practice piano this morning. It's the sweetest scene. I'm grateful Pops knows how to play.
Now I'm off with the boys for a day of fun!

Don't like the new background but I don't have time to mess with it anymore.
We had FHE yesterday so we could have just an activity tonight. The boys had to take a nap before we head out, it only took an hour but they are all asleep, at the same time!
While vacuuming today I thought when I was a young girl. I realized I thought a lot about growing up, probably as most kids do. Why do kids always want to be an adult so bad? Oh, if we could only go back to being a carefree kid. Anyways it dawned on me that all I wanted was to be a stay-at-home. Sometimes I think about what career I would have chosen if my life ended up differently. My career paths change almost daily. That's probably why Pops goes off to work and I stay home. If not we'd be going through a heck of a lot of jobs over the years.
Now, I need to finish vacuuming while they are asleep.

Late night playing Monopoly. I have a love hate relationship with that game.
Poor Crate defiantly is not feeling good, I think it from his new teeth that are popping in.
Ahhh, one last week until school. I'll miss the freedom from the school schedule but I think Buster is excited for it to start.
This weeks starting to fill up quickly. How does that happen?
