Poor Crate woke up with a fever today and has been sleeping almost all day long. His fever finally broke for a couple of hours this afternoon but came back slightly tonight. He is being so sweet and just lets me hold him as long as I want.

Took the YW and Buster and Crate to the Easter Pageant. I wasn't looking forward to going but I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it a lot. I like going very year. The girls are fun girls.

I'm really tired and need to get to bed in case Crate's up a lot tonight.

I think this will be post #300. That's crazy.

The boys took the chair I use to sit on while I'm on the computer for the fort they're building. It's not fun to stand. Oh the forts, there is always a fort being but somewhere in this house. This week it's in the guest room. I gotta take a picture so they'll remember the fun times.

I made complete homemade pizza tonight. Even made the crust by scratch and it turned out really good. Sauce was from scratch too. I think this is our new favorite way of eating pizza.

I had to take a pizza to a get together tonight so it was a good excuse to try something new. It was fun hanging out with girls I don't see very often. There are some very good people here. It's sad when they leave.

Boss reminds me every day not to eat yellow snow. He also says to not eat blue snow because that means a bear pooped where there is blue snow. If it's purple snow that's dinosaur poop. Green snow is coyote poop. Every day out of the blue he'll remind me. Poop seems to be on his mind on a regular basis.

Buster was practicing his spelling words tonight for the first time this week and he got them all right on his first try. I think school comes naturally for him. He loves school. Hopefully this attitude will linger around for a long time. Also, he always talks about going on a mission and needing to save money for it. I like to see his enthusiasm on this subject. He can't wait to go.
He always likes to hear stories from Pops mission.

This weather is amazing. We're trying to enjoy outside time as much as possible before it gets too hot.

What to write???

Well I'm almost at post number 300...that seems like a lot.

Crate ate avocados and rice cereal today and liked them both. I forgot how long it takes to spoon feed babies and how messy it is. Nursing is much quicker.

Ran a work errand with Pops today. That was fun hanging out together in the car and Boss and Crate slept the entire time.

We were going to go to the Easter Pageant tonight but then I looked and saw it's not playing on Monday nights. I was actually really glad. Buster was bummed out though. Maybe I'll take him with me when we take the YW.

Boss gave a sweet yet very short family home evening lesson on faith. That was fun to watch.

I picked up the house a few different times today. It needs to be picked up again.

Made dinner with the left over chicken...tried to make honey mustard chicken burritos. They weren't that good.

My triceps and chest are sore from today's workout.

Tomorrows work out is plyometrics...I hate it, yet I love it.

Went to Kohl's tonight with a friend and no kids. Couldn't find anything super fun. It was nice just to walk around and browse.

The day started off pretty early with correlation at 7am. Crate was lucky enough to tag along with me. Then today was the first time in a month Pops and I were in sacrament meeting together. It was nice sitting by him. Although I did spend the last half of the meeting out with Crate. He still prefers that I stand up while holding him. Pops left after sacrament to head to the other building to issue a call in another ward. Once the block was over I shuffled the kids into the kitchen to eat a lunch I had packed since we would be staying and waiting an hour for the other ward to start. We were invited to attend Ellie's baby blessing. Pops joined us for lunch their in the kitchen and then we braved another sacrament with three tired boys. Crate had a blow out and ended up in only his diaper so I opted to stay out with him and not return into the meeting. Luckily it was towards the end when the blowout happened anyway.

Got home in time to start dinner and then I headed off for a visiting teaching appointment but that was a no-go as no one answered the door at both houses. Maybe next time.

Dinner turned out great. Chicken and potatoes with asparagus. Probably the best mashed potatoes in a long time. I accidentally added a lot of garlic powder with the sour cream but it turned out really good. I would make it again. It was no real recipe just red potatoes, little real butter, sour cream, dried onions and lots of garlic powder. I wasn't in the mood to press real garlic and the powder seemed to work just great.

Pops made brownies to take to his home teaching family so luckily we were able to enjoy the left overs. I must go back to proper eating this week.

Sometimes entries aren't very exciting but it's my real life. Another week is on its way. Where does the time go?

Awww...Saturday's. I love Saturdays. No school schedule, no early morning breakfast. No guilt if cold cereal is eaten. Saturday's are usually good days. I wish they came around more often than once a week. I think every other day would be a good time frame to have Saturday's. I can't wait until summer is here and school is out.

I slept in until 6:50am and finally talked myself into getting out of bed. Started my workout and finished it all before Crate woke up. The boys begged for breakfast, ok, mostly Boss begged, during the last 30 minutes but I was determined to not push pause. I knew once I stopped to help them I wouldn't go back to the workout. But Pops saved the day, he got home from basketball just in time to prevent an early morning meltdown because of empty stomachs. He even fixed eggs and muffins for the boys. We were out of milk for the third day in a row. The boys are already very excited to eat cold cereal tomorrow. Pops bought some tonight, I told him to buy non-sugar cereal. He came home with Lucky Charms. Go Figure.

As I was getting ready this morning and having the boys pick up their room I realized their room stinks. It smells like boy. Boy___________ I'm not sure what word to use to fill in the blank. I can't seem to put my finger on what it is that makes the stench. Sadly, I'm afraid my entire house smells like boy and I don't even realize it. I've got to remember to get some air freshener for their bedroom.

This afternoon we invited all the YW and their mothers over for appetizers before we headed to the General YW Broadcast. Their were some good eats. Sadly not many girls but again, the food was de-lish. More sadly though, the girls missed out on an amazing broadcast. Wow! It will be possible to raise virtuous children despite what the world might teach. And I myself need to be a more virtuous woman. More courageous. And stand up for what I believe in. The messages were awesome. Check it out here. Never, Never, Never give up!

On another note:

Every mother needs on of these every so often:
An eight in a half year old girl who is kind, helpful and loves children, especially babies.

Chloe and Captin spent the night a few days ago while they were on spring break. I've decided I am going to hire her for a week in the summer. She held Crate, played with the kids, didn't fight, offered to do anything and everything, help make breakfast, lunch and dinner. Encouraged outside play, picked up the toys, babysat all the kids even Crate while I attended a PTA meeting and was just plain old pleasant to have around.

And I'm sure that since I'm not her mother, I didn't have any attitude, tears or complaining. She was on her best behavior. I threw a few dollars her way before I dropped her off and you would've thought I told her she just won the lottery. I was so happy to have her here. She was such a help!!! And the best part was that I never had to tell her to do anything, she would just see what needed to be done and do it. It made me realize how differently males and females think even from the beginning. My boys are blind when it comes to doing what needs to be done without me asking. It's like they're not wired that way, but that's alright I love them anyway.

Pops went to the grocery store for me tonight. I gave him a specific list. I'm kind of scared to see what his idea of "fresh produce" looks like. Let's just say I do 99.9% of the grocery shopping around here. I was surprised I didn't have to give him directions of how to get to the nearest grocery store. We've made a lot of progress over the years. He enjoys helping out in many ways but groceries is not one of his favorites.

Now I'm falling asleep while typing...time for bed.

I had to really encourage myself to workout this morning. I was tired and it was a hard workout. It was all mental for me to keep going. I was glad when it was over.

Today was one of those days...lots of little errands with three kids under 4. Next time I'll hire someone to go with me so they can sit in the car with the kids while I run in and out of places. Each stop I just needed one or two things. It took longer each time to get the kids in and out of the car. Oh well...again, this is just where I am in life. And it's not a bad place to be.

Today I discovered that 30 minutes of uninterrupted sleep can change ones life. Today, it changed my life. Sorry spouse and children, next time I'll keep my mouth shut and go lay down. Looking back no one was really that disobedient, I was just REALLY tired. Tomorrow is a new day thankfully! Thank you spouse for encouraging the children to be quiet while I got in my power nap.

Went to a birthday party tonight. The boys had an absolute blast again. What kid wouldn't have a blast when riding ponies is involved?

I had some posts in my mind but my fatigue has taken over. Two nights of five hours sleep interrupted every two hours has caught up and I must get to bed. Oh Crate, how we love you even if you do wake me up all the time!

Crate officially sits up now and is a much happier child sitting up than lying down. I can't believe how fast he's growing up.
